ECW Hardcore TV – Originally aired Thursday March 18th, 1999 on U.S.S.B.

We’re in Dover, Delaware with Joey Styles and I can’t help but think of Wayne and Garth standing in front of a blue screen, “travelling” to various states, arriving in Delaware and Wayne unenthusiastically saying “Hi…I’m in Delaware.”

The show begins with the final few minutes of an elimination tag match featuring the F.B.I. (Guido & Tracey Smothers with Big Sal E. Graziano) vs. Danny Doring & Roadkill vs. Balls Mahoney & Axl Rotten (March 5th, 1999 in Dover, Delaware in front of 1,000 people in attendance*).

We join Taz at a local radio station and he is talking about his upcoming ECW and FTW title match with Sabu at Living Dangerously.

Joey Styles then goes over the upcoming card for Living Dangerously ’99.

Then we have backstage promos from Jerry Lynn who describes what a patient man he is, and The Impact Players (Justin Credible, Lance Storm, Jason Knight & ‘Beulah McGillicutty’) who bicker about who is better than who.

Then we see Mustafa turn on New Jack and hear an intense promo from New Jack who really sounds like he is going to hurt Mustafa at the upcoming pay per view at the Asbury Park Convention Center, and we get a pitiful retort from Mustafa and The Dudley Boyz to follow.

Next up, it’s highlights of Lance Storm introducing the fake Beulah McGillicutty, who is really his Bytch, and we go backstage where a Tommy Dreamer promo turns into a Shane Douglas promo and he is upset with The Impact Players.  Once you get through the whole show, you’ll see that this segment provides some ironic foreshadowing for the main event.

Then we meet up with Bill Alfonso, Rob Van Dam and Sabu for a promo and head into a commercial for Living Dangerously.

Then Joey Styles shills the Hardcore Hotline and says that The Four Horseman have rode into ECW, we see a Rugby commercial, and we’re back with a commercial for House Party ’99 for $34.95 + shipping and handling.  Following that, Joey Styles then pushes the home video of Crossing the Line ’99.

Finally, we have a match as it’s Jerry Lynn vs. Sabu with Bill Alfonso for the unrecognized FTW World Heavyweight Championship held by Sabu (March 5th, 1999 in Dover, Delaware in front of 1,000 people in attendance*. Referee is John “Pee Wee” Moore & the ring announcer is Bob Artese).  Styles informs us that Sabu is competing with a broken jaw, which I kind of believe.   Before the match, we get highlights from last year’s Living Dangerously, where RVD & Sabu dupe The Sandman.  Before all is said and done we see cameos from both Rob Van Dam and Taz in the ring.

Following that, it’s another advertisement for ECW Home Video.  This time they’re peddling Extreme Warfare Vol. 2, which is not a single event, but rather a collection of matches from various times and places.  Then it’s an ad for ECW Extreme Music, the most extreme compact disc there ever was.  Then it’s back to shilling the Hardcore Hotline and The Four Horseman story, and we see repeat commercials for Extreme Warfare Vol. 2 and for Living Dangerously on pay-per-view. We hear briefly from Joey Styles, and just when you think Paul Heyman’s done advertising, we’re into an ad promoting the fact that ECW can be seen three times a week on U.S.S.B. and it’s another one for House Party ’99.  Order it now.  Oh yah and call the Hardcore Hotline too because the Four Horsemen have invaded ECW, and don’t forget that Living Dangerously is this Sunday on pay-per-view.

Rob Zombie welcomes us back and reminds us what show we’re watching as Lance Storm makes his way to the ring with his Bytch/”Beulah McGillicutty”, and he introduces himself from the wrestling capital of the world, Calgary, Alberta, Canada, leaving ring announcer Bob Artese with nothing to do.  Tommy Dreamer makes his way to the ring as “Man in the Box” blares in the arena, ready for his scheduled match, but we get a bait and switch.  Jason Knight distracts Dreamer and Justin Credible attacks in the aisle.  Shane Douglas makes the save, and our main event becomes…

Lance Storm with “Beulah” vs. Shane Douglas with Francine (March 5th, 1999 in Dover, Delaware in front of 1,000 people in attendance*. Referee is John Molinaro).

One more barrage of commercials before the match begins for the Hardcore Hotline, Guilty as Charged the videotape, and a final reminder to buy Living Dangerously on pay-per-view this Sunday.

Then we have our main event.  Afterwards, The Impact Players whoop on Douglas, and Dreamer returns the favour and runs them off to end the show.

WWF CAVALCADE – Aired Sunday June 21st, 1992 on CHCH in Ontario.

Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby “The Brain” Heenan welcome us to the show and let everyone know that it’s Father’s Day Weekend.

Today we’ve got Ric Flair, the in ring debut of Nailz, Texas Tornado, Kamala, High Energy and more.

Up first it’s Crush vs. Barry Horowitz (May 18th, 1992 @ Riverfront Coliseum in Cincinnati, Ohio – 9,160 in attendance).

Special Report: Hosted by Lord Alfred Hayes and brought to you by the WBF Magazine, ha. We get pre-recorded comments from WWF Champion Randy “Macho Man” Savage (in an empty arena in Hamilton, Ontario) and then a retort from Ric Flair and Mr. Perfect.

Commercials - McCain Pasta and Sauce, Molson Canadian Rocks the Great Canadian Party with Spinal Tap Part 1, Goodyear, VIA Rail.

WWF In Your Area – Dates through June, July and August throughout Canada.

Kevin Kruger and Ron Cumberlidge vs. The Beverley Brothers w/ The Genius (May 18th, 1992 @ Riverfront Coliseum in Cincinnati, Ohio – 9,160 in attendance).  The Beverleys and the Genius spend most of the match taunting The Road Warriors and referring to them as The Legion of Sissies.

Monsoon: “These guys are gonna wind up getting mamed.”  Heenan: “As in very very badly beaten up?” The two are of course referring to the Beverleys taunting of L.O.D.

Next up it’s “The former Intercontinental Champion” Texas Tornado vs. Bob Bradley (May 18th, 1992 @ Riverfront Coliseum in Cincinnati, Ohio – 9,160 in attendance).  As Heenan points out, “Bradley’s a tough competitor.”

WWF Event Centre with Billy Red Lyons promoting the upcoming show in Toronto’s Maple Leaf Gardens on Sunday July 12th, 1992 at 07:30 pm – We hear from The Beverley Brothers again (haha), who continue to taunt the Legion of Sissies.  We finally hear from the L.O.D. and Hawk tells them that they’ve lead themselves “down a dirt road with a dead end.”

Commercials - Penzoil, Molson Canadian Rocks The Great Canadian Party with Spinal Tap Part 2, Midas, Taco Bell Steak Burrito Bell Grande which is an awesome commercial, Encore instant coffee “now that’s mellow”, Midas again, Discount rent a car 1-2-FREE.

An early Razor Ramon debut vignette which features Hall driving a Cadillac.

In the ring we have ring announcer Mike McGuirk and Dr. Harvey Wippleman, who snatches the mic from her and he explains that Kimchee has helped him find the Ugandan Giant. So we have Kamala vs. Reno Riggins, who adds to the decent crop of jobbers for this episode (May 18th, 1992 @ Riverfront Coliseum in Cincinnati, Ohio – 9,160 in attendance).

Event Centre with Billy Red Lyons – We hear from Mr. Fuji, The Berzerker and Papa Shango and then The Ultimate Warrior, Paul Bearer and The Undertaker as they hype their upcoming match in Toronto on July 12th, 1992.  Noteworthy here is the fact that the production team didn’t bother to put anything on the blue and green screens behind the wrestlers.

Commercials - Erin Maxx Trans- Am Weekend, Speedy Auto Glass, Labatt Genuine Draft, Harvey’s, trailer for “Unlawful Entry.”

“El Matador” Tito Santana vs. Tom Stone (May 18th, 1992 @ Riverfront Coliseum in Cincinnati, Ohio – 9,160 in attendance).

“Mean Gene” Okerlund welcomes Sensational Sherri and Shawn Michaels to the side stage. Michaels wants Bret “The Hitman” Hart’s Intercontinental title (May 19th, 1992 @ Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky).

Commercials - Arby’s , Blue Light golf sweepstakes, another Speedy Auto Glass commercial, Canada 125 years spot, and Remington.

Now it’s time for High Energy (Owen Hart and Koko B. Ware with Frankie) vs. The Executioners (Pain & Agony) (May 18th, 1992 @ Riverfront Coliseum in Cincinnati, Ohio – 9,160 in attendance).  The commentary from Heenan and Monsoon here is hilarious.  During the match we hear from Jimmy Hart and his Nasty Boys

Then we have a recap of the World Bodybuilding Federation championship event, which is hard to watch.

Commercials - Classic Tremclad commercial, Molson Ex “Ex says it All”, Sporting Life’s “Biggest Sale of the Year” double spot, Macpager from Maclean-Hunter paging, Another Via Rail commercial.

“The WWF in Your Area,” same as they aired earlier in the broadcast.

Nailz (with the Big Bossman’s nightstick) vs. Dan Robbins (May 18th, 1992 @ Riverfront Coliseum in Cincinnati, Ohio – 9,160 in attendance).  Robbins does the stretcher job for Nailz’ in ring debut here.

WWF Event Centre with Billy Red Lyons – We hear from Owen Hart and Koko B Ware as they push their rivalry with the Nasty Boys.  Then it’s Harvey Wippleman, Kimchee and Kamala calling out Kerry Von Erich.  Finally, Billy Red reviews the whole card for the upcoming show in Maple Leaf Gardens on July 12th, 1992.

Gorilla and Heenan preview the next week of programming and we’re rolling credits.  Cavalcade was produced by CHCH-TV, which reminds us that “Next on channel 11, women’s championship basketball.”

Commercials - Streetwise commercial, Molson Canadian Rocks the Great Canadian Party with Spinal Tap Part 3, and we’re out after a surprise appearance from a broadcaster Canadian hockey fans should be familiar with.
